What educators are saying

Thank you, thank you. We turned the picture/writing pages into a poster and integrated nonfiction text features on our posters. The kids were SUPER PROUD to bring them home at the end of the month.
This was a fun and engaging way to introduce Women's History Month with my students. Afterwards, students chose one of the women to write about.

Description

Women's History Month for children in kindergarten and first grade explained with a nonfiction story. UPDATE! This unit now contains 28 unique templates for craftivities to help the children practice writing, remember and better comprehend the important achievements of these women.

You can use this in the reading/literacy center, as an emergent reader, read aloud or for group reading. It is also appropriate for a great (hi)story sequence activity.

You can print it or use with your laptop, projector or Ipad in class.

The children learn Women's History Month facts in a simple and comprehensive way.
