Celebrate Women's History Month with this engaging scavenger hunt that introduces students to iconic women from politics, entertainment, science, sports, and more. Four different versions (easy, medium, hard, combo) are provided for multiple play and assessment opportunities. Each one contains a series of 26 clues and the answer to each clue is the name of a woman that starts with a specific letter. Students can complete the hunt using their own knowledge and/or by conducting Internet research.
The activity is appropriate for online or in-class work for middle or high school students and could be completed individually or made into a group activity. You can even make it competitive by turning it into a race! Suggested follow-up activities, discussion questions, and answer keys are also included.
