Description
This winter themed activity packet is designed to be used by SLPs to target the following concepts for language therapy:
- Antonyms
- Synonyms
- Categories (Naming 3+ Items)
- Categories (Identifying What Doesn't Belong)
- Similarities/Differences
- Inferences
- Multiple Meaning Words
There are a total of 44 stimulus cards (synonyms, antonyms, naming items in categories, and what doesn't belong) or 36 stimulus cards (similarities/differences, inferences, and multiple meaning words) for each concept, along with 4 game play cards (take extra turn, give cards away, etc.). Additionally, there is a worksheet for each target that may be used in therapy or sent home as homework.
The concepts targeted by this product are perfect for upper elementary and middle school students (about 3rd through 8th grades) in speech-language therapy.
To play, print the cards, and have students take turns drawing a stimulus card. If he/she draws a special card (give all cards away, etc.), follow the directions on the card. The person with the most cards at the end is the winner. You may also choose to use the stimulus cards with a game or activity of your choice.
