Description

This file includes 4 Coding Problems with a winter theme. You can read the book, "Do Frogs Drink Hot Chocolate?" by Etta Kaner first and then have students complete the problems (or use without the book). Link to animal adaptations of how to keep warm in the Winter.

Math Coding Connections: positional language, sequential, concurrent, and repeating events.

One the first page of the PDF, click the link to be prompted to 'make a copy' of the Google Slides.

Each problem has two copies - 1) Colour coded arrows with words for memory support of directions; 2) Black and White arrows including Elbow Arrows.

The PDF copy can also be printed for in person use as a handout or placed at a math centre.

Digital in Google Slides. You can move items/images, change the problem (change to French, add/remove part of the problem/change wording, create your own problem).
