Description

This resource is one your kids will remember you for! Take engagement to the next level with these super fun STEM/ STEAM challenges teaching winter sports. Teach your students all about forces and motion with these STEM activities!

Now you can integrate science, reading, math, and writing with these fun activities. You'll get five complete lessons that'll make lesson planning a breeze.

This resource DOES NOT include videos as we encourage students to think creatively. I've included pictures for each project for teacher reference only. Please download the preview to see a sample of each STEM challenge.

Challenges include:

❄️Speed Skater: Using only pipe cleaners, straws, and a mint, create a model of a speed skater that stands upright on two legs for at least 30 seconds.

❄️Curling: Create a curling broom that helps your stone score the most points.

❄️Alpine Skiing: Create an alpine skiing course that is at least two feet long, but no more than three feet long. The course must have a start, six turns, and a finish.

❄️Hockey: Create a hockey goal that is exactly six inches wide. Use only straws and pipe cleaners in your design.

❄️Bobsled: Using recycled materials, create a bobsled course that has at least five turns and one straight section. Use a timer to test your bobsled team sitting upright and laying down.
