These patterns may look like a lot of cutting, however it only involves cutting 1/6 of the actual design! (Take a look at the 2nd thumbnail above: the students folds the paper 3 times, cuts 1/6 of the design, then opens it up to reveal the beauty of the pattern!)

Scissors and paper (no rock:) is all you need for this art project, although a hole punch can be helpful to access smaller spaces.
