Looking for a winter elementary music lesson reinforcing eighth notes and half notes? Would you like to be able to use it with a multiple levels? Would you like for it to include speaking, rhythm, non-pitched percussion instruments, ostinato, and form? Do you need it to be compatible for tablets and Web Browsers? This elementary music lesson plan will be a perfect addition to your Orff lessons and Kodaly lessons!

The set of Lesson Plans and interactive slides include:
• 3 lessons each 4-8 minutes (3 pdf pages) plus an original speech poem incorporating eighth notes and one incorporating half notes. The lesson plans include detailed instructions for teaching the poem, rhythmic activities and ostinato work with first, second or third grade. The lesson is also appropriate for Kindergarten with adaptations. Adaptions and extensions are addressed.
• 36 slides (with 3 slides being teacher and/or student interactive) may be used to reinforce rhythmic reading and letting the students choose the ostinato pattern. You will have everything you need to teach all the lessons.
The resources were designed to be projected onto your SmartBoard, Promethean, Mimio or Interactive Whiteboard and will run on both PC and Mac computers using your default internet browser. It is also compatible for tablets! In addition, the PowerPoint version of the visuals has been included in the purchase as another option for utilizing the product. Until TpT supports this file type I have stored the data files on a separate server which allows the graphics and sound effects to remain secure. You will be able to access the product via a provided link.
