Winter / Holiday / Christmas Word Search

This is a fun way of introducing and/or reviewing vocabulary relating to winter, Christmas, Advent, and other seasonal terms. Students can complete it independently, so it can be used as a substitute lesson, homework, extra credit, or make-up work.
For beginning students, the word search introduces new vocabulary by having them guess what the words mean. For older students, the activity reviews common words and also gives the plural forms for nouns and the compound past for verbs, lending itself to extension or review lessons on those topics.
