AIM: Why did the United States invade Afghanistan and Iraq during the War on Terror?
✅ ACTIVITY 1 — DO NOW — PRIMARY SOURCE ANALYSIS: Students will examine a quote by George W. Bush to assess how this war was different than those before it.
✅ ACTIVITY 2 — VIDEO ANALYSIS: Students will analyze a video with footage of the War on Terror to determine the reasons for the US response to 9/11 and why NATO-affiliated states targeted Saddam Hussein.
✅ ACTIVITY 3 -- TEXT ANALYSIS: Students will analyze a text about the topic and answer questions.
✅ ACTIVITY 4 -- ASSESSMENT: Students will choose one of two options for assessment to submit on looseleaf.
