Description

With this Speaking activity students will practise different topics and structures.

CONTEXT:

Each student has a role-play card and one of them is the robber. They have to ask and answer questions to their partners using the structures below to catch the thief.

TOPIC 1: Hobbies / Likes and dislikes

- What's your name? / - My name is...

- Do you like...? / - Yes, I do / No, I don't

Hobbies included: playing computer games, writing e-mails, rollerblading, listening to music, playing basketball.

(There are 2 different robbery settings for this topic.)

TOPIC 2: Sports / Can - can't

- What's your name?

- Can you...? - Yes, I can / No, I can't

Sports included: ride a bike, skate, play tennis

TOPIC 3: Food / Likes and dislikes

- Do you like...? / - Yes, I do / No, I don't

Food included: burgers, chips, sandwiches

TOPIC 4: Pets/ Have got

- Have you got a...? / - Yes, I have / No, I haven't

Pets included: fish, bird, dog (parrot, canary, goldfish, pony, guinea pig, hamster, kitten, dog, puppy, cat, tortoise).

TOPIC 5: Jobs and professions

Students will have to talk about the tasks their characters do in their jobs and work out the jobs of their partners to catch the 3 thieves.

Jobs included: Vet, nurse, firefighter, waitress, farmer, reporter, postman, cleaner, office worker, builder.

Con esta actividad de Speaking los alumnos practicarán distintas estructuras y temáticas.

SITUACIÓN:

Cada alumno tiene la tarjeta de un personaje y uno de ellos es el ladrón. Tienen que ir haciéndose preguntas utilizando las estructuras que encontraréis más abajo para averiguar cuál de ellos es el culpable.
