Whole Year HWT Inspired Handwriting Practice

This product provides handwriting practice for the entire school year. This product has been reviewed by a school Occupational Therapist and is HWT style inspired to ensure the product is the most authentic and appropriate for primary (especially first grade) learners.

The book begins with many supports: Providing boxes for appropriate sizing of letters and starting points for learners to know where to begin each letter, with the supports being taken away as the book progresses.

The pages teach handwriting of numbers, capital letters, lowercase letters, and continued practice.

In this workbook, students also have practice with identifying and matching initial sounds, rhyming words, sight words, grammar (Commas, punctuation, contractions, etc.), and writing words with phonics skills (CVC words, beginning blend words, silent e words, digraph words, vowel team words, r-controlled words, and variant vowel words).

This book has primary learners in mind and their love of coloring. There are many pictures incorporated throughout the book to allow students to color.

It would be recommended to print the cover page on cardstock and laminate the front and back. It is best to print the product double sided (flip on short edge). It is best to bind the book at the top of the page to ensure the coil never interferes with the ability to write.
