What educators are saying

Great resource for the Who Would Win books. The students were engaged using the resources and they're nicely organized.
This is perfect for any "Who Would Win" unit. My students are very engaged, and I have more than enough resources to do multiple activities with the books. Thanks!

Description

Updated1/27/21: This file includes ready to use graphic organizers and writing prompts that are designed to be used with any or all of the Who Would Win? books by Jerry Palotta. The resource includes both printable and digital files. The digital files are made for Seesaw and Google Slides and can then be used in Google Classroom. These high interest books compare two animals or insects to determine who would win if they were to battle one another. Use these materials in small groups, for individual seat work, or as a literacy center. I personally use the the Who Would Win? books for shared partner reading. Excellent! The best part of this resource is that it can be used with any of the Who Would Win? books, meaning you can use it over and over. Each page can be used individually, or you can bind the pages together to make a literature response journal.

The printable materials are created in printer friendly black and white.

File Includes:

• Pre and Post Reading Response

• KWL Organizer

• Advantages & Disadvantages for Each Animal

• 2 Venn Diagram Comparison Organizers

• 2 Varieties of Vocabulary Boxes

• Synthesizing- How My Thinking Has Changed (Thinking Map)

• Create a Trading Card Fact Collection and Illustration Task

• Picture This- Draw and Caption Task

• Nonfiction Text Feature Hunt

• 3 Writing Prompts- Prediction, Opinion, and Compare-Contrast

Each of these organizers and activities is available in printable and digital formats. Instructions are included in the notes page for each digital page.

Take a look at the preview to see all that is included.

I hope that you find this to be an excellent resource. Thank you for stopping by, and don't forget to leave feedback after you download to earn TPT credits.
