What educators are saying

I used this as a scavenger hunt for different materials to review a unit in science. Students liked it a lot!
This resource generated lots of discussion and was a great starting point for our science unit. I loved that it had such a large number of cards to sort as well as categories. Students were very engaged and collaborative.

Description

Resources and products matching cards

These cards will help children to learn basic materials and what things around us are made from them. The pack includes such materials as wood, metal, plastic, rubber, glass, stone, fabric, clay and leather. Children should sort different things according to the material they are made of.

The pack includes:

- 9 cards with materials and their names

- 9 labels with names

- 90 cards for sorting (10 cards for every type of the material)

The file includes instruction with presentation for using the material.

You may also find Natural and Man-made Materials Sorting Cards useful. They work wonderfully together!
