What A Random Story! Smartboard Game

This smartboard file is a way to mix up, literally, how students tackle stories. The activity is incredibly diverse with the potential to be comedic, functional (works well with Words Their Way), or for enrichment. It all depends on how you want to use the game.

With two clicks you will unleash your students into a combination of randomness that will challenge them to think outside of the box to build a story that fits the model of the traditional story.

In this highly modifiable activity, students focus on the challenge of fitting the words into a cohesive story. It is all a matter of perspective. For hesitant writer's who cannot think of topics to write about, they are given the capital to get started. The high fliers, however, are challenged by putting seemingly random assortment of objects and characters within the same story.

Attached with the smart notebook file is a graphic organizer to match the game. This organizer is designed simplistically for a streamline five minute approach to pre-writing.
