Description

Summary of Story:

Two friends who never bend the rules try sneaking out of school just once before they graduate eighth grade... Unfortunately, that day happens to go terribly wrong.

About this Resource:

This is one story that is split into five passages. Each passage has seven questions (5 multiple choice, 1 short answer, and 1 extended response). Questions look at vocabulary, context clues, synonym/antonym, and other aspects of close reading.

Whether you use these reading passages as homework, part of a larger lesson, part of a reading center, or as daily bell ringers or warm-ups they are sure to build your students' reading comprehension skills (check out the great reviews).

While these are designed with middle schoolers in mind, 4th through 10th grades can benefit from the practice, the vocabulary work, and the comprehension activities.

This product is a TpT Easel, PDF, and Google Slides activity - easily use it in-person or remotely. Take advantage of Easel's new self-grading feature!
