Week in Review Reflection (Meta-Analysis)
- Word Document File
Description
This is a useful tool for students to start to see patterns in their own lives as it relates to weekly behaviors. Typically, students refer to previous Week in Reviews, and complete averages based on those categories. They then record those averages on the Week in Review Reflection. It gives students an opportunity to see a "bigger picture" and introduces/reinforces the concept of meta-analysis, or systematically assessing previous results of their own recorded data and to reach conclusions based on that data. Adjusting your trajectory even just a little bit makes a huge impact, according to James Clear, author of Atomic Habits. I use it with middle school students, but this could also be effective for older students in high school, upper elementary, or even colleagues!
