7 Fun & Engaging experiment stations that simulate or model for students example of weathering or erosion.
This resource includes:
- A Lab sheet is provided for students to follow and answer questions, as they complete each station. The lab sheet also included the materials needed for each station. You will use the lab sheet to organize your materials as you set up each station.
- 7 Station Procedure Cards are also provided. Students read each card, follow the procedure, then complete the lab sheet.
- A photo of what each station should look like to help set them up.

Material in general that are needed are:
Station 1: Frozen Water bottle, Regular Water bottle, Paper Towels
Station 2: Cup of water, Cup of vinegar, 2 pieces of Chalk, Magnify glass
Station 3: Magnifying Glass, Salt, Sugar, Petri-dish, Geode (optional)
Station 4: Skinny or broken pieces of Colored Chalk, Pebbles, Ziplock bag,
Station 5: Plate, Water droplets, Coffee Grinds,
Station 6: Sand, Straw, Goggles, Tin Tray, Paper Towels
Station 7: Create a Slope (cookie tray or plastic tray and line with aluminum foil so the slide can slide), Slime (I made it myself), A couple Beads to represent rocks
Magnify glass is not necessary in other stations except for Station 3, but this is a simple tool to engage students in further observations throughout different stations.
