What educators are saying

Kristen's speaking mats are amazing! I was struggling to get my beginner English students talking in English, but these give them the confidence and structure to produce language.
My students and I love these speaking mats! Our school uses Wit & Wisdom, and my 2nd graders are learning about seasons and change - these mats are the perfect pairing!

Description

Are you looking for structured activities to build oral language with your English learners? These differentiated Speaking Mats are designed to get students talking by asking and answering targeted questions using picture prompts and question cards. Sentence stems provide support to beginning and intermediate level students. This unit is on the topic of Weather and Seasons.

The Speaking Mats are formatted for partners AND small groups (4 students). Each format comes in 2 differentiated levels.

Four "Roll & Talk" mats are also included! Your students will love "playing" and practicing their oral language skills with this fun activity.
