    Description

Need to increase your students' exposure and mastery of content-area vocabulary? Start by displaying a science word wall and using the included suggested word wall activities to help your students master their Weather-related vocabulary!

These resources are also included in a MEGA Weather and Climate Bundle with the Weather and Climate Student Notebook, Vocabulary Activities, Word Wall, and Interactive, Self-Checking Boom Cards.

With Vocabulary Match Up Mats, students have a mat of Weather and Weather Tools vocabulary words and a set of definitions. Students leave the vocabulary word mat intact and cut apart the definitions. This encourages students to read each definition as they try to place the definitions on the mat with the correct term. As students practice their word knowledge again and again with these mats, their confidence and ability to define the terms grows!

The Weather and Weather Tools study slips include the term, definition, and a related image. To use as an independent study tool, students can hide the term, read the definition, and guess the word OR hide the definition, view the word, and recite the definition. I’ve included suggested games to play using the study slips.

    Included in Weather Vocabulary Mats:

✔ Weather and Weather Tools Vocabulary Mat (36 terms, two mats)

✔ Weather and Weather Tools Study Slips

✔ Suggested Games and Game Boards

✔ Directions for Preparing Vocabulary Mats and Study Slips
