Description

Challenge your intermediate/advanced students with a Watercolor Rainbow Spectrum. This project is sure to inspire and challenge your students as they experiment with the vibrant world of watercolor.

This project includes planning and creating a stunning rainbow spectrum with imagery of their choice, using watercolor techniques such as wet-on-dry (Glazing) and wet-on-wet (Charging). And with a duration of around 10 (90-minute) days, it's the perfect length for an engaging and immersive lesson. Plus, all the lesson materials are fully editable through the Google Suite, so you can tailor the project to suit the needs and abilities of your students.

What is included:

Presentation/Project Information:

Google Slides. 26 slide presentation that covers the project requirements and step by step videos. It is recommended that students have a basic understanding of watercolor techniques. I will teach techniques before I start this lesson.

Student Samples:

8 images of student samples are included in the Google Slides

Project Plan:

2 page Google Document that helps students brainstorm and plan for their Rainbow Spectrum.

Rubric

100point assignment specific rubric. Students reflect on their finished work and process. Document is ready to print and go or editable if needed.
