Description

Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation, Accumulation!
Observe the water cycle in your classroom. Using a sandwich bag and colored water watch the water form vapor and then "rain" inside the baggie. Students love this!

This download includes directions and a two page, detailed observation sheet to record the progress four times.

My class said this was their favorite activity of the year. I hang the baggies on the window facing our school courtyard and always get compliments on how appealing it looks from the outside. The kids have fun mixing the colors and wondering if it will "rain" purple. The amazement in their eyes when they actually see their bags "raining" is priceless!! Even if that part is not purple ;-)
