Wall About Me: About You, By You

Wall About Me is a hands-on activity that allows students to create and share what they feel represents them. In this resource students will fill (up to nine) miniature picture frames with information about themselves through illustration, design, creation, and imagination.

Instructions
1. Design and color all of the picture frames. Each frame can be filled with an illustration that represents the student. Ideas include: family, pets, characteristics, sports, or anything else they feel is important to share about themselves.
2. Design and color the walls.
3. Once the walls and picture frames are finished, cut each item out.
4. Glue or tape all the picture frames to the wall. They may be placed in any order and style.
5. Fold in the walls on the BOLD line.
6. Stand it on the main WALL ABOUT ME page.
7. Illustrate and color the WALL ABOUT ME page and complete the writing piece for YOU SHOULD KNOW.

TIME FRIME:
The time frame for completing this project will vary. If you are planning on completing it in a day, give 45-60 minutes. It still could take longer, depending on how deep students to take this.

Discussion
Allow students to share and discuss what they’ve developed. This can be done in small groups or as a whole class.

Materials Needed
-paper
-card stock or regular paper
-crayons, colored pencil, markers
-scissors
-tape and glue

2nd Version:
If the cutting and gluing is difficult there is an ADDITIONAL page with the picture frames already included on the walls.
