Description

Walking Rainforest Trails - Virtual Field Trip Distance Learning PDF – Free

OVERVIEW

This is a free sample with limited pages from a larger Trip Journal package. Each full-sized grade-unique EdTechLens Trip Journal contains 33 entries. The high-interest rainforest theme is used to present NGSS-aligned life science content including plant and animal life, ecosystems, human impact on the rainforest, and adaptations for survival. All concepts are covered within the context of an actual trip to the rainforest. Rainforest Journey Trip Journals present a rare opportunity to use primary sources with younger students in science class.

This trip journal may be completed independently by students or with teacher/parent guidance. Guidance documents are included.

The media-rich primary source journal document with its real-life connections is supplemented with an end-of-lesson activity, discussion questions, a standards-alignment document, and a reference document on using primary sources. EdTechLens Trip Journal primary source documents can be used for science as well as ELA and have been written specifically for elementary-aged students.
