What educators are saying

This is a great resource! I just wish the pictures were moving ones for kid to get a better idea of the action
One of my very favourite resources working in SLP with little ones, really clear, engaging, and nice images that are relevant to their lives!

Description

Digital BOOM CARDS™ are a fun and easy way for your students or clients to practice language skills! These engaging and colorful task cards target answering WHO questions and building action verb vocabulary.

⭐Play the first 4 cards of the deck HERE, watch the video preview, or view the preview download for a closer look!

What's in this download?

► You will receive a deck with 36 cards (think "digital flashcards") that are presented one at a time. Fun noises and wiggles let kids know if their answers or correct or incorrect.
► The first card features the concept that the answer to a WHO question is almost always a PERSON. ► Students then see an example of actions and choose the answer to a simple WHO question such as, "Who is eating?" from a choice of 2.
► For the next task, they are asked, "Who else is eating?" They are given 3 pictures to choose the answer from, and they must drag the answer to the yellow answer "zone."
► Feel free to use the other images on each card to facilitate more discussion or ask more questions. If you've purchased any of my printable interactive books, these are similar.

► This activity provides many opportunities for the child to answer with a name or a description like “the boy” or “the baby” or “he/she is.” Encourage the child to tell the answer verbally before touching or dragging the answer. Of course, children with more limited verbal skills can physically touch the answer by choosing the appropriate answer from the choices or by using their AAC device. The goal is to get the child to pair the picture on the screen with a verbal response whenever possible.

⭐ Tip: If the child gets the answer wrong or does not choose an answer, model it for him/her. The repetitive nature of this activity is likely to eventually shape a verbal response. Your modeling is key!

★ For students or clients you are treating through distance learning, simply use these in teletherapy or send them a short link and they can play instantly on any smart phone, tablet, or computer using a modern browswer. Learn how HERE! For school use, they also play on smart boards!

⚠️PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this deck, you will be given a LINK in the document you download that will guide you how to effortlessly redeem your BOOM CARD™ purchase. You will NOT be given a set of printable cards in pdf format.
