Description
Answering WH Questions for Listening Comprehension activity for autism, auditory comprehension for speech and language, as well as Special Education, will have your students engaged and focused on listening to each short story read aloud by the teacher, SLP, or therapist! Using an ink dauber (which we know all kids love using), as the wh question is asked, your student marks who, what, where, when, and why for each correct response!
Many of our students with autism rely heavily on visuals…and that is fantastic. However, it is also important to train them as great listeners to pick up on main details during a read aloud, or teacher led activity. Using Bingo/dauber markers as a way to actively engage each student (the reporter), as he or she will “Dab it!” or “Double Dab it!” when who, what, when, why, and where questions are asked during a short paragraph read aloud by the teacher or assistant and correct responses are given. This activity teaches our special needs kids to listen for details in a special way, as each question is scaffolded to accommodate IEP goals with repetition of details and guided answers. With 100 activity sheets (JUST PRINT and GO!), your students will have enough practice to aid in mastery of listening comprehension IEP goals! As always, a data sheet is included for easy documentation AND a question/answer guide for all 100 passages.
INCLUDED WITH THIS ACTIVITY:
*100 Reading Passages
* Data Sheet for IEP Documentation
* 100 Question and Responses Sets (500 questions in all!)
* Suggested IEP Goal
Just PRINT and enjoy in your classroom TODAY! This activity is perfect for year round use, as well as ESY (Extended School Year) instruction.

2. Given a paragraph read aloud by an adult containing key details, STUDENT will provide a response when asked a "wh" question related to the text, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
