What educators are saying

This resource helped to keep my students engaged while watching the movie. I used it at the end of the year, it was a great way to keep my kids engaged. I was able to use this resource and create a cross-curricular assignment with science.

Description

Each semester, my students complete dystopia-themed book clubs. I use this group project as the culminating assessment for this unit.

Together, we watch WALL-E. Then, students are tasked with creating a PBL that showcases the effects of one of the concepts criticized in the film (e.g. technology, obesity, laziness, large corporations, buying in bulk, recycling, environmentalism, human interaction, etc.)

For the final product used to display their findings, students will create an infographic using Piktochart (a free website that only requires log-in information).
