Why I Created These Lessons:

I created these lessons because my core phonics program was just not cutting it! No matter how hard I worked, my struggling readers were still struggling! After spending countless hours researching, attending trainings and webinars and hundreds of book studies into The Science of Reading, I quickly realized that my phonics program was never going to provide my students with the explicit, whole-group instruction they so desperately needed! I felt like a rock star in my small group, but because I was relying solely on my balanced-literacy curriculum to teach whole group phonics, I felt defeated and frustrated. NOT ANY MORE!
