Description

Use these vocabulary graphic organizer activities to help you teach and reinforce academic vocabulary! These templates are EDITABLE in both PowerPoint and Google Slides. The best part? HOW TO USE:

  • I know you need to differentiate and have more than one option, so I've included 8 templates in 8 different colored themes. You can use colors to represent particular words, units, chapters, etc.
  • Using these slides/printables to introduce content vocabulary words to your students or even assign them digitally is best.
  • I have personally used this resource as a means of introduction and review. Explicitly teaching vocabulary is critical in aiding reading comprehension.
  • Also, pictures are essential! I love to insert clipart in each section of the organizer where possible.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • PPT + GOOGLE SLIDES TEMPLATES include a mixture of editable boxes to explore the word's meaning in depth: a sentence, question, synonym, antonym, definition, part of speech, example, and non-example
  • PPT + GOOGLE SLIDES COLORS: black, blue, green, orange, purple, red, white, yellow
  • These templates work with any word and any grade level.
