    Description

These 102 visual schedule and daily routine cards or labels can be helpful with your new Spanish speaking Mexican or Latin American refugee students who struggle with English as a second language (ESL, EFL, ELL). The Storytelling Cards can be a great way to get them speaking and feeling comfortable, first in their own language and then in English.

The translation cards have the phrases and words in both English and Spanish. The Storytelling Cards have an English translation when it comes to the plot elements. The Storytelling Cards are divided into three sections: (1) Characters, (2) Settings and (3) Plot Elements. Students draw from each stack and create their own stories!

Welcome and help your new students feel at home, learn your daily routines and class schedules in your classroom with these translations. The Visual Schedule & Daily Routine Cards are in five categories:

    • messages (welcome to the country, welcome to our school...)
    • instructions (line up, sit down, find a partner...)
    • subjects (social studies, music, science...)
    • places (classroom, playground, home...)
    • basics (yes, no, are you okay, toilet paper, pencil...)

These Spanish to English language resources are great for you as a classroom teacher, support teacher, ESL teacher or school councilor.

The backs of the cards are included. You may print the cards in color or black and white.

These translated phrases and words are helpful to have at the ready, to be able to communicate with your new students from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica and elsewhere from Central or South America, who may be new arrivals or immigrants into the country.
