What educators are saying

This resource is a lifesaver. I am new to the curriculum and this is a huge stepping stone to help get better accustomed to it.

Description

This game 7 Seconds Stop, is just right for your class to play during a virtual class meeting, academic play time, centers, free play, rainy day schedule, and it can even be sent home for them to play at home with their families. It gets their brains thinking quickly, helps them think on their feet, makes them laugh and the kids just gravitate toward it.

This vocabulary game is great for Distance Learning Virtual Meetings as well. You can say the questions to one student at a time or give them to the whole class. You can have a student shout it out, (if the others are on mute they can in their own homes too), write them down or raise their hand. It helps the kids to get involved in the meeting and helps them to think on their feet too. The unit includes rules/ideas for Distance Learning.

HOW IT WORKS

Students grab a card and have 7 seconds to answer a question. The questions are quite easy and some are a little more difficult. There is also a template where the teacher can write their own cards so that it fits a theme they are currently teaching.

There are 4 different color game boards included and they are in black and white as well. Included are over 150 question cards. I suggest you laminate the cards and game boards to last longer.

This works great in the classroom on rainy days, before school, as test prep and during online meetings.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • Over 150 Questions
  • Blank Question Cards
  • 4 Color Game Boards
  • Instructions on how to use the game
  • Rules and Ideas for Distance Learning

This game is fun for kids ages 5 up to 100 and is also fun for the whole family.

Trusted Teacher Reviews

"My first graders did such a good job with this! I picked topics that I knew they would be able to answer. They kept asking if they could play it every time we were on meet!" (1st Grade Teacher)

"When we were still at school our class enjoyed playing the game Blurt, since I don't have that game I was looking for something similar. In looking I came across this activity which is different but very fun for my students. I have used it with a small group and every child was engaged. When it was time to stop they asked if we could keep playing." (3rd Grade Teacher)

"Used in March 2019 at the beginning of virtual learning. Started each morning with a few for the first month. Students enjoyed playing." (2nd Grade Teacher)
