Description
I had heard about people using Virtual Field Trips on Google Slides for elementary music lessons, but I wasn't sure. Then I tried it and I am hooked! This Virtual Field Trip to the forest teaches piano and forte and is designed for first and second grade music lessons. Use for distance learning via Zoom, asynchronously, or in class whole group. It includes songs like Grizzly Bear, Hickory Dickory Dock, Mouse Mousie, listening, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, and more!
In this Google Slides activity, students will click on an animal in the "forest". Each thing that students click on takes them to a different portion of the virtual field trip. After every section of the Virtual Field Trip, there is a slide where students can show their learning by answering questions.
This Virtual Field Trip teaches piano and forte. It includes different songs and activities. Each section has its own activity. This includes movement, critical thinking questions, piano v. forte animal sort, listening to classical music and deciding if it is piano or forte, playing rhythms (quarter, eighth, half) or solfege (do, mi, sol) patterns piano and forte, and more!
This is intended to be done in class, but each of the songs also has a video along with it so students who can read could do it on their own.
All rhythms include both regular and stick notation.
