Virginia SOL Social Studies Practice Guides for 2nd Grade

Practice guides provide students with notes and details about what they are learning. They are great to send home, because they provide a home/school connection. Parents are given strategies and information about what their child is learning in class. These practice guides do just that. They provide parents and students with reminders and strategies of what they have been learning in class. They also provide practice activities to reinforce what students have learned in class.

These practice guides for Social Studies are aligned to the 2015 Adopted Social Studies Virginia Standards of Learning for 2nd Grade. You will notice that each practice guide comes with the Virginia standard at the top and then notes and activities for students to complete. Answer Keys are also included if you choose to collect these for evidence!
