Violet: Afraid of the Dark

Violet questioned her self-worth because of the negative actions of her first protectors – her mom and her stepdad. She lost hope and her identity. However, through her incredibly positive relationship with her grandmother, she started to see herself through a different set of eyes and began to love herself again.

Violet hit the nail right on the head! Fear of the dark (or the unknown) and bed wetting are common among kids and teens who have experienced major trauma early on in life. They are a direct response to issues still not fully dealt with. Violet conquered the bed wetting and with time, she can conquer her fear of the dark too!
