Description
Teach your students all about Vincent van Gogh with this 40-slide PowerPoint presentation on his life and work, plus an accompanying art lesson!
This project will help students create unique artwork inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night. Students learn about emphasis, movement, and warm/cool color schemes, and they use their own creative landscape ideas so that no two projects will look alike! Recommended for students in grades 4, 5, 6, and up. The PowerPoint may take up to one class period, and the art lesson will likely take about four class periods.
This lesson requires no prep aside from photocopying the student handout. Download and begin teaching right away! This could also work well as a sub plan with the detailed student instruction handout and the low-maintenance material list.
This Bundle includes two resources:
- An editable 40-slide PowerPoint that includes a student-friendly biography of Vincent van Gogh and several slides of his paintings, generally presented in chronological order, with the title and date of the works.
