Description

Paper Crane is one of the most popular origami all the time. Japanese people make it for making wishes come true when they are sick, trying to win sports games, etc.

And a Japanese girle, Sadako who died from lukemia caused by radiation of the atomic bomb dropped in Hiroshima during the World War II, was trying to make 1000 paper cranes. That is because she believed that her wish recovering from the disease would come true if she completed 1000 paper cranes. But she could not make it and her classmates succeeded to her wishes to make 1000 cranes and started fund rasing to build up the monument of Sadako for peace.

The story inspired people not only in Japan but also in the world. Many people send 1000 paper cranes to the monument of Sadako in the peace park in Hiroshima every single day.
