Description

This video would be suitable to introduce 12 basic verbs (masu forms) to beginners including:

- suki desu (like)
- tabemasu (eat)
- ikimasu (go)
- omoimasu (think)
- mimasu (see/look/watch)
- aimasu (meet)
- kimasu (come)
- narimasu (turn/become)
- tsukaimasu (use)
- kakarimasu (take / cost)
- suki dakara desu (because... like...)
erabimasu

Learners are supposed to recognise 12 verbs based on 12 short animation video clips without English translation.

They can learn not only verbs but also short phrases such as "Nihon ni ikimasu (going to Japan)." I found it hard for beginners to learn verbs and particles separately but if they learn them together at the same time, it is easier form them to retain the information.

An example to use this video clip:

1. Watch entire video.
2. Watch one by one from the beginning.
3. Teacher shows examples, such as "Kare ga suki desu (= I like him)" "Kanojo ga suki desu (= I like her)" "One Direction ga suki desu (I like One Direction)."
4. Teachers throw a ball to a student letting him/her say the same type of phrases such as "Mr Bean ga suki desu."
5. The student passes on to the next student to make another phrase.

Note:
This video activity is highly recommended to use with my other video, "【Video】Communication Game (4): 12 Questions and verbs." For example, use this 12 verbs video and then use the 12 Questions and verbs that will help learners understand well.
