Description

Veteran's Day is a time to honor our veterans for their military service. To celebrate this holiday and honor our veterans, students are able to create a military man or woman (all five military branches are included in this document, along with a soldier in cammies) holding a thank you sign (written by students). Each military branch’s hat and coat included in this document are hand-drawn. These military men and women posters are a great addition to any classroom/bulletin board to honor our veterans.

Included in this document:
**For each military branch’s group of pages…
• 1st page = finished example
• 2nd page = military branch’s hat (colored in)
• 3rd page = military branch’s jacket (colored in)

• 5th page = military branch’s jacket (black and white outline)

To Create Military Veteran:
*First make copies of the various military branch’s hats and jackets, the sheet with hands and head, and the thank you sheet.
*Have students choose a military branch to color and give each student a sheet with a head and hands on it to color as well.
*Once students have colored their military person, give the students a thank you sheet where they are able to write what they are thankful to our veterans for.
*Once students are finished, have them glue the pieces together or glue them to a piece of construction paper.
*Hope your students enjoy this activity to honor our veterans!
