Description

Educate your students about the history and importance of Veterans Day with this reading, flipbook, and STEM activity. Students will learn what a veteran is, about Armistice Day, and how it eventually became the national holiday we recognize every November 11 as Veterans Day. Assess comprehension using the questions and / or flip book activity which will look great hanging in your classroom. Then, integrate Veterans Day into your science classroom by having students complete the STEM activity to create a flagpole to honor our veterans.

Students will learn:

  • What a veteran in
  • Armistice Day
  • How Veterans Day became a holiday

This Veterans Day lesson includes:
