What educators are saying

I love using this resource as a quick activity to specifically target verbs and sentence production. The kids love it too!
This activity is amazing for helping students practice pronouns and labeling verbs. The real life pictures are extremely helpful for students. It is great how girls and boys are separate as well as a they booklet.

Description

Make teaching verbs in sentences fun with these engaging interactive books! This set includes 7 interactive books that are perfect for targeting expanding utterance length while focusing on verbs +-ing using real photographs. Create these verb books with lamination and hook and loop fasteners to use for years to come in your classroom or speech therapy sessions!

These books target 22 different verbs using real photographs that students will describe using visual sentences. The interactive verb pieces can be moved to complete each repetitive sentence in each book.

Your students will love moving these interactive verb pieces to complete their sentences! You can not only create these books with lamination, but you can also print them and cut and glue them so students can take them home to practice their sentences! These books are great for targeting verbs with all of your PreK-2 speech and language students.

Here's what you'll get:

  • 7 different interactive verb books
  • Girl Books- What is she doing? What is the girl doing?
  • Boy Books- What is he doing? What is the boy doing?
  • Kids Books- What are they doing? What are the kids doing?
  • Singular They Book- using pictures and verbs from singular books
  • 60 different pictures depicting 22 different verbs

This resource provides engaging pictures that encourage describing using verbs with visual sentences. These pages will help your speech therapy students expand their utterance length when describing pictures. In my speech room, we use these with laminated pieces and pages. We also print, cut, and glue these books so that students can take their books home!

Your students will love practicing expanding utterances using verbs that match real pictures. Smarty Symbols are used for all of the 22 verb icons throughout the books.

You will love that these books target not only verbs +-ing but also the subjective pronouns he, she, and they. This resource also includes one book that targets singular they.

SLPs LIKE YOU SAID…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mary Claire R. says, “This resource has been helpful for students with a variety of goals. I have used this with kiddos who are working on answering wh questions about pictures, working on pronouns, and working on -ing verbs."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Barbara B. says, “I used this with my kinders for expressive language and increasing their sentence length. They loved to place the pieces and then really responded well to the repetitive nature of the books. Pretty soon we were up to 7-word sentences because they told me "where" it was occurring. This is one of my favorite resources.”
