Valentine's Day Math Puzzles Bundle - Middle School Valentines Math Activities

Looking for no prep Valentines Day activities to challenge your middle school math class this February? This holiday mini bundle is sure to be a hit with your students!

This download includes my Valentine's Day Logic Puzzle for Middle School and my Valentine's Day Picture Equations Activity for Middle School. Both of the included resources are meant to challenge students while incorporating the fun of the holiday into math class!

The logic puzzle is a traditional grid-style logic puzzle that has students match 5 boys with 5 girls to whom they are giving valentines, the color of the valentine, gift, and the order in which they give out their valentines. Students are given 10 clues to help them solve the puzzle.

The picture equations activity features 10 picture logic puzzles which each require students to use picture equations to find the values of each of the images in the puzzle. The puzzles can be solved using systems of equations (for older students) or guess and check and logic and deductive reasoning (for younger students). A recording sheet is also included for students to show their work and record their answers. The puzzles vary in difficulty level. The first 5 puzzles each contain 2 pictures and 2 equations, while the last 5 puzzles each contain 3 pictures and 3 equations.

These activities are great critical thinking and reasoning exercises for students and are a fantastic way to keep students engaged, while still working, around Valentine's Day!
