Reinforce shape identification with this Valentine's Day math craft. Your little ones will add "candy shapes" to their box using triangles, rectangles, squares, hearts, rhombuses, and circles! To complete this craftivity, they will count and record the shapes used. Learn more by checking out the preview!

- 2 options for the recording sheet
To use this Valentine's Day math craft...
- First, print the shapes. Copy on colorful paper.
- Print the heart-shaped chocolate box and copy it on colored paper or students can color.
- Print and copy the recording sheets and cut them in half.
- I included two different options for the recording sheet.
- Give students the shapes. You may choose to cut the shapes first or hand out the papers cut in halves, fourths, sixths, or eighths and let your students cut out their own shapes.
- Students can add the shape chocolates to the candy box.
- When students finish, they can record how many of each shape they used.
- Give students a large piece of construction paper to glue their recording sheet and chocolate box on.
- Display it in your classroom or hallway! This makes a great Valentine's Day bulletin board!
