Description

This Valentine's Day Idioms PowerPoint for a fun way to play with learning their meanings. In this interactive quiz students will increase reading comprehension! Definition of an idiom with examples, and 20 Valentine related idioms with four possible meanings. Lots of hearts, love, and relationship idioms. Students can decide on the correct answer, then check. You can have them write down the answer on paper, or even better, on a white board and show it before checking. You can make this a totally paperless activity. Includes a 20-question self-grading Easel Assessment.

Did you know that you can use PowerPoints like this in Zoom for distance learning? You can also share with your students in OneDrive or in Teams, too. Just make sure to view in Slideshow mode. You can upload to Google Drive and save as Google Slides, and it will automatically convert. It is editable and easy to make adjustments if necessary.

Students have to be exposed to idioms in order to achieve greater reading comprehension. Especially helpful for English Language Learners.
