This is included in our best-selling bundle:

>>> Valentine's Day Reading & Writing Bundle

Included In This Valentine's Day Grammar Activity:

➡️ 14 Social Media Valentine's Day Grammar Task Cards: Share these 14 social media task cards with students that you can print for students to edit. Each of the cards includes a Valentine's Day-inspired social media post by Cupid, and students must locate and correct errors within the post.

➡️ Task Card Answer Key: After students have completed the task cards, share these print-ready answer keys that provide reasoning for all edits and make reviewing or grading your students' answers easy as can be.

➡️ Presentation Answer Key Review Slides: Review the task cards with students using the included 15-slide PowerPoint presentation. Each of the slides includes all the explanations for the errors, so you can easily review the answers with your students.

➡️ Smaller Version of the Social Media Posts: An option is also provided without the space for students to write their answers, so you can use this resource in multiple ways! Have students complete the work in a notebook or add these cards to a station.

How To Use This Valentine's Day Grammar Activity:

This resource can be used in a few different ways:

1. Valentine's Day Edit Of The Day: Introduce one of the updates to your class each day for the 14 days leading up to Valentine's Day. Everyone receives a copy and makes the edits and reasoning on their own (or you can do it in groups or pairs). Then you can use the PowerPoint to go over the update together as a class and come to a consensus.

2. Valentine's Day Writing Centers: Include a packet of the task cards at a writing center where students can choose which updates to work on. Edits can be made in their writing notebook rather than on the sheet. You can also make an answer key booklet for them to use after they are done!

3. Pair Work: Give each pair of students a Valentine's Day Cupid update task card and have them complete it together. Then each pair can present the update to the class, and share what edits they made. The class can give further suggestions.

4. Group Work: Give a group of three or four students one of the Valentine's Day Cupid updates and have them come to an agreement about the edits to make and the rewritten sentence. The group can present the update to the class when they are finished.
