Valentine King & Queen Persuasive Writing & Activity

Students will learn about the election process, making nominations, running a campaign, secret ballots, and writing persuasive speeches to convince voters who to crown as Valentine King and Queen as class leadership roles. This is usually done two weeks before Valentine's Day to run campaigns and write speeches. On Valentine's Day, they will read their speeches before the voting and then a class king and queen will be honored. There is also a fun craft to create decorative crowns.
