Printing on card stock is the best option for most printables
It has a nice thickness and quality that regular paper doesn't have.
Coloring sheets, worksheets etc. can be printed on plain paper.
If you want to use markers, I suggest cardstock

I upload my printables to my local UPS through email.
They usually have a email that you can send.
Just email with directions to print on card stock in color and how many pages!!
They let you know when they are done and pick up! So easy!
