VA SOL Pacing Guide Bundle: K-5

This pacing guide bundle includes individual, year-long pacing guides for K-5th grade. Great for private school or homeschool teachers who teach students from multiple grade levels!

ABOUT THE BUNDLE:

This bundle includes individual pacing guides for each grade level, Kindergarten - Fifth Grade. The pacing guides align across grade levels as much as possible, making it easy to teach multiple grade levels at once! All you have to do is differentiate instruction to include varying difficulty levels for the same or similar skills and topics. This lifelong tool will also grow with your homeschoolers, making it simple to move from grade level to grade level each new school year!

HOW TO USE THE PACING GUIDES:

This pacing guide offers a general overview of the Virginia Standards of Learning. You can use the guide to help plan lessons and map your curriculum for the year. The pacing guide provides an outline of the topics in the four main content areas: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, and lists the standards in a sequential order for skill progression and to build on previous knowledge.

HOW ARE THE PACING GUIDES ORGANIZED?

The pacing guide calendar groups the standards into units for weekly planning. The guide offers suggested unit lengths in which topics may be covered. However, units may be lengthened or shortened depending on student(s)’ ability to meet the objectives of each standard.

HOW TO USE THIS PACING GUIDE FOR ANY CURRICULUM:

If you are using this pacing guide for another state, look for areas where your standards overlap the ones included and areas where you will need to adapt these standards to meet your needs. This pacing guide is meant to be a reference for lesson planning throughout the year. Feel free to adjust the pacing of these units to meet the needs of your school and students.
