Upper Grades Math Career Budget Project-- PBL-- Financial Literacy

This is a great project to get students interested in real financial literacy!

It is also practical and shows them how to apply the math they are learning in school in a realistic way!

This is completely ready to go, no prep, and the only material needed is internet access!

This is designed with the fifth grade math TEKS in mind, but can be used for any upper elementary or middle school classrooms, even high school classes would benefit!!

Each step is explained thoroughly, although some teacher input may be required for a few steps.

Income taxes, salaries, budgets, expenses! All this and more explained and used to create a realistic monthly budget for your students. Independently led, this project allows for creativity and is self directed. Grades lower than 5th will need support.
