Description
In this no prep fun activity, students determine reference angles for positive and negative angles in both degrees and radians, and also use reference angles to find the six trigonometric functions of common angles. This can be used in Trigonometry, PreCalculus, Geometry, Algebra 2. Problems are in degrees and radians, include positive and negative angles, quadrantal angles, and all six trigonometric functions. Students should not need a calculator for this activity.
Included:
- 30 Digital Task Cards:
#1 - 10 have students only find reference angles; and
#11 – 30 students find the reference and use it to evaluate the trig values of angles whose reference angles are 0, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90° and/or their radian equivalent.
The activity is designed for students to use correct notation for pi, square roots and fractions.
