Description

This emergent reader little book will help young students practice early reading skills, while reading about a fun subject: ocean animals!! It would be great to use for browsing boxes, independent reading, guided reading groups, or Read to Self.

On each page, the boy or girl sees a different animal in the ocean.

The text throughout the book follows this pattern:
Under the sea,
what will the boy/girl see?
Look!
He/she can see a (color word) (ocean animal) .

The following ocean vocabulary words are included: fish, crab, whale, starfish, jellyfish, octopus, eel, clam, shell, and sea horse.

The color word on each page is in bold text to help students identify the color word. There is also a chart with the color words in the appropriate color; this can be printed in color and used as a resource for students who need a little extra support. There is also a blank page included, in you would like for students to be able to create their own page in the story.

The following color words are included in this book: red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange, black, white, brown, and pink.

This book includes the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!!
