Getting your students to perform their best on standardized tests doesn’t have to be intimidating or overwhelming. This engaging lesson will empower your students to shine on test day! I created these five simple and easy to remember steps for my students and their test scores dramatically improved. I’m confident these simple steps WILL improve your test scores if method is followed by students and coupled with great instruction!

HOW I’VE USED THE LESSON IN MY CLASSROOM

I use this lesson and handout as a key component of preparing my students for tests, both standardized and the tests I create for our classroom.

Approximately one to two class periods in length (as a point of reference, I teach a 50-minute class). I generally go through the presentation as a teacher led activity, then allow students class time to complete the worksheet and ask questions, finally I have students apply the graphic as an insert in their interactive notebooks.
